21-Apr-2008: Well, just started playing around with the Zone
System of image processing. Definitely helps (check out my
latest photo of the moon), but way more to learn.
Hopefully I'll get some good nebulae images posted as soon as we
get some clearer weather here.
06-Mar-2008 6:02 AM (-0500): Was out last night again
working on my photo-ops. Got a pretty good picture of the
Orion Nebula, but seems like I can get that focusing quite right
and I'm still working on my post-processing skills. Check
it out, it's actually a pretty decent photo but I wouldn't send
it in to SPACE magazine quite yet :)
24-Feb-2008 4:44 PM (-0500): I just finished
processing my tons of photos from the 20-Feb-2008
Lunar Eclipse, pretty much
took me all day. Some shots are good, some not so great,
but it was cold and late that night so what do you expect!
Gimmie a break, YOU stand out there in the cold :) Check
them out, some are pretty impressive.
20-Feb-2008 11:08 PM (-0500): So, I just came in from the
cold, and the astronomical gods stopped the snow from falling
and cleared the sky with PERFECT timing to let me setup my scope
for the lunar eclipse. I grabbed some excellent shots and
will probably process them this weekend. I'm going to post
the shots on their own page when their ready.
19-Feb-2008: Well, I received my new Meade LX90 GPS 8"
telescope from
Telescopes.com (excellent customer service!). The view
is excellent, very easy setup. Definitely worth
every cent! If you have the means, I highly recommend this
scope. Check out my latest photos.
More to come... as soon as it warms up a little bit! |
